# Dashboard Tour

> Learn how to use the Broker Panel sidebar, header, alerts, dashboard cards, and news feed.

## Use The Sidebar

Use the sidebar to move between panel areas. Select the sidebar control in the header to open or close the sidebar.

| Area            | Pages                                                              |

### Search From The Header

The search field appears on medium and larger screens. You can search by client name, client email, plan, VPS IP address, service number, trading account number, or request number.

1. Select **Search for services, clients, or requests**.
2. Enter the search value.
3. Select a result under **Services**, **Trading Accounts**, or **Service Requests**.

The panel opens the related service page. Select **Search all services for** at the bottom of the results to open the Services page with your search value.

Press `Ctrl+K` or `Command+K` to move focus to the search field. Press `Escape` to close the results.

## Review Alerts

The bell badge shows the number of visible alert types. One alert type can contain more than one item.

Alerts can include:

* **Pending Requests** for new services, upgrades, downgrades, cancellations, reverts, or welcome emails.
* **Unpaid Invoices** that require payment.
* **Support Ticket Updates** with new replies from support.

The dashboard can also show an **Action Required** banner for pending requests. Select **View** to open pending requests. Select **Dismiss** to hide the current banner.

## Read The Summary Cards

Four cards show a current dashboard summary.

| Card              | Information and link                                                                                                                                             |
| ----------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Services**      | Shows the active service count. It also shows new services for the current month when the count is not zero. Select **Active Services** to open active services. |
| **Requests**      | Shows the pending request count. Select **Pending Requests** to open pending requests.                                                                           |
| **Invoices**      | Shows the unpaid invoice count. Select **Unpaid Invoices** to open Billing.                                                                                      |
| **System Status** | Shows the current platform status.                                                                                                                               |

## Review Recent Services

The **Recent Services** panel shows up to five of the newest active services. It lists the created date, client name, client email, plan, and actions.

* Select **Manage** to open a service.
* Select **View All Services** to open the Services page.
* If no services exist, select **Launch Your First VPS** to start a new VPS request.

The **Pending Requests** panel shows up to 15 pending requests. Each entry shows the submitted date, request type, and client name.

* Select a request to open its details.
* Select **View All Requests** to open all pending requests.

## Use Quick Actions

Select **Quick Actions** near the welcome message to open these actions:

* **Create New VPS**
* **Upgrade/Downgrade VPS**
* **Cancel VPS**
* **Generate Report**
* **Support**

## Read News And Updates

The newspaper badge shows the number of unread news items. Select the newspaper control to open **News & Updates**.

Each item shows a title, description, and publication date. Select an unread item to mark it as read. Select **Mark all as read** to clear all unread news items.
